MaltaSolver

Privacy Policy

Last updated 4 October 2026

MaltaSolver helps people in Malta organise problems, Cases, and local service discovery. This Privacy Policy describes how the product currently handles personal information. It is a product baseline, not a claim of full GDPR compliance or a substitute for later legal review.

MaltaSolver is an online problem-solving and service-discovery product for Malta. This policy covers information processed when you use the MaltaSolver website and related account features.

Contact MaltaSolver from your account Settings, or using any support contact MaltaSolver publishes in the product.

The policy applies to registered accounts and to limited information collected when you browse public pages. Official government or authority websites you visit from MaltaSolver are outside this product and have their own practices.

You provide information when you create an account, describe a problem, upload documents, message others, request a service, or manage a subscription to MaltaSolver.

This includes your email address, name, password (stored as a hash, not as the password itself), locale, marketing consent, notification preferences, and optional profile details such as display name, phone, or locality.

When you use Ask MaltaSolver, we store the problem description, Case records, checklists and tasks, diagnoses and action-plan steps, reminders, manual external-reference notes, and related Case events so you can organise next steps.

MaltaSolver is not a government authority. Case tools can provide informational guidance, verified knowledge where available, checklists, official action routes, organisation, and user-managed reminders or external-reference notes. They do not submit applications to authorities, receive authority acknowledgements, or automatically monitor authority systems.

You may upload files to a Case. MaltaSolver stores file metadata with your Case and keeps the file in private object storage. Downloads use time-limited access for the signed-in owner. Marketplace counterparties do not receive your Case evidence through ordinary request or booking features.

If you use service discovery, requests, quotes, bookings, reviews, or provider listings, MaltaSolver stores the records needed to run those features. Counterparties may see information required to fulfil a request or booking, such as a display name — not a dump of your whole account.

Marketplace conversations and in-app notifications are stored so you and the other party can continue the thread. Message export for you includes whether you sent a message and a counterpart display name, not the other person’s private contact details.

If you subscribe to MaltaSolver’s own software, we store subscription and invoice identifiers needed to operate that billing. That is separate from any payment for work a provider performs for a customer. Customers and providers arrange and pay independently outside MaltaSolver. MaltaSolver does not collect, hold, split, settle, or escrow those customer–provider service payments.

We store your notification preferences (email, in-app, and marketing). We may send operational in-app or email messages about your account, Cases, or bookings according to those settings. This baseline does not describe advertising or retargeting campaigns.

We process information needed to keep the service secure and signed-in, such as session existence and authentication events. We do not put your password in the page address.

We use information to operate your account, provide Problem Solver and marketplace features, protect the service, communicate with you, and process MaltaSolver subscriptions. We do not sell your Case files as a product.

MaltaSolver uses infrastructure providers to host the application, keep private files, send email where configured, and process MaltaSolver subscription payments. This baseline does not publish a processor or subprocessor list.

We do not operate an in-product marketplace checkout that collects customer-to-provider service fees.

Links to authorities, providers, or other sites let you leave MaltaSolver and act yourself. Those external services have their own terms and privacy practices. Visiting them is not a MaltaSolver government API integration, and those operators are not given your Case file by MaltaSolver.

How long information is kept is not defined as a fixed number of days in this product baseline. We keep information as needed to operate the service, protect it, keep necessary records, and meet applicable obligations or policies as they are established.

Submitting an account deletion request records the request. It does not set a guaranteed erasure date, automatically delete stored files, or automatically cancel a MaltaSolver subscription.

Private Case documents and account APIs are available to the signed-in owner through the product. Passwords are stored as hashes, not as the password itself. This is not an encryption, ISO, or SOC certification claim.

You can update profile and notification settings while signed in. You can download a copy of your MaltaSolver account data. You can request account deletion. These tools are a basic data-rights foundation, not a complete GDPR portability or erasure programme.

Signed-in users can download a structured JSON copy of their MaltaSolver account data from Settings. The export does not include password hashes, authentication secrets, private storage keys, or other people’s private account data. Evidence file bytes are not included; metadata about your files may be.

You may submit an account deletion request from Settings. MaltaSolver records that request. This does not mean the account is deleted, that erasure has started automatically, or that deletion will happen by a set date. It does not automatically cancel a MaltaSolver subscription or delete evidence files.

You may cancel a request that is still recorded as requested. Later handling, if any, is not an automatic deletion job described in this baseline.

MaltaSolver uses cookies or similar browser technologies so we can keep you signed in (session/authentication). This product baseline does not operate advertising or retargeting cookies. A full cookie inventory has not been published here.

We may update this page as the product changes. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the current product baseline (4 October 2026).
